A research program, especially one that spans multiple years or even decades, builds a library of knowledge. It’s not just a set of data points, but a constantly elaborated structure with a solid foundation.
This is how we view the 20+ years of research studies we’ve engaged in here at Smsob. The topics may change from year to year, but since all we do strives to provide new and updated information about the practice of project management, it’s all connected. I’ve just finished updating our 2021 white paper to include and comment on the results from 2024 research. The Adaptive Organization 2024, with its roots in the adaptations wrought by Covid in 2020, now offers insights on the many changing tools and approaches organizations are using to navigate our increasingly complex and uncertain world. From hybrid approaches to AI assistants and project management as a service (PMaaS), we’ve become adept at juggling multiple methods and strategies for getting the most out of project resources. It’s not surprising that project management continues to grow in strategic importance as a partner in delivering value for all kinds of organizations.
Check out the “Seven Transformative Actions” suggested in this updated white paper, and let’s discuss!
